from Sandy (Stepka) Bogdanski
I was fortunate enough to have your father as a mentor in 1997 when he taught me COBOL in a BPT class at The Hartford. He was unlike any teacher I had ever met, and I learned more from him in those few weeks than any class I’ve ever taken. He had great nicknames for all of us, some that we still call each other to this day. I was “Candy is Dandy”, even though my name is Sandy. There was “No-Messa Vanessa”, “Cecelia”, “Mom” (she was the matriarch of our class), etc.
One day, he came into class, and in his beard he had this little man just hanging out. All day. Just hanging out in the beard…..
Bob is also responsible for introducing me to Indian food, the first time I ever had it was as a party he had at his home for all of us after we graduated from his class. Today, I consider myself a connoisseur of Indian food, and I have Bob to thank for the introduction.
Never have I met a man with a zest for life like Cookie, I’ll never forget him!
